Save-A-Life

I tried to put the Save-A-Life link on my side bar but for some reason it doesn't let me view it that way. Maybe later it will but here is the link if you want to see it before then... http://www.stclairsavealife.com/

We must Choose

My heart is heavy today. I read an article I will not soon forget. I spent the day with my sister, my heart is burdened often with thoughts of her. I am so thankful that she is in my life. I find myself calling her daily just to hear her voice. I also got an update on Search for the Cure. I now have been informed of inflammatory breast cancer. I am thankful for the information. Most everyone has had a close encounter with cancer whether it be yourself or someone close to you. I sat with my Aunt as she took her last breath, my sister has a constant battle with pre-cancer cells, my mother in law battled breast cancer. We must find a cure! We must cherish every moment with each person in our lives! We must Choose to value the life of our infants no matter the prognosis! We must Choose to love! We must Choose to live each moment as our last! We must Choose to share hope! We must Choose to have faith!

Thought for the day:

God loves you just the way you are. But He refuses to leave you that way. -Max Lucado

We are all born sinners, tried and true. God loves us anyway. He loves us enough to place us in 'our spot' in 'our time' to become who we can be.

Also, please take the time to pray today for all the women who are facing pregnancies. Whether they are planned, unplanned, or faced with a grim prognosis for their pregnancies. Pray for God's healing touch on the people who research cancer. That their eyes be opened to a cure and our government makes swift movements to allow the cures to be used. Thank you! Today I fight. Today I pray! Not all wars happen in a battle field. This is my fight! Our babies deserve the same opportunities we have. Our families deserve a life without cancer.

Spring cleaning

Spring cleaning!!! Ugggg! It has to be done. Right?Right!

Well I started yesterday.... on the kitchen. OMGoodness that stuff on top of the cabinets- GROSS! After two extra hot sanitising washes in the dishwasher (you didn't think I would do that by hand did you?) the dishes were finally clean. The very elderly refrigerator is back to white again. And you don't feel like things are going to fall on you anymore. Now for the rest of the house.... not a surface to be seen. NO JOKE. The laundry/craft area/office is today. I am certain that everything in here will not be able to stay! I need a really big honkin' dresser or something to put in here to organize my craft and scrapbooking supplies. Bob and I have a big debate over just how many drawers do I need in my new kitchen.... I need lots of them! Drawers do hold more- and better than shelves. Well I guess standing here looking at it isn't going to make it all go away so here I go. The girls seem to need me every time my hands are full and I am trapped behind an approaching avalanche!

Thought for the day:

Joel 3:9-10

(9)Announce this among the nations: Prepare for war! Wake up the soldiers! Let all the men of war come near and attack. (10) Make swords from your plows, and make spears from your hooks for trimming trees. Let even the weak person say, "I am a soldier."

The Lord has called. Wherever your heart feels drawn, go and fight. The time has come. Your time is now. Do not call yourself weak. If God is for you who can be against you? Gather your stones, David! You need no more than your Lord as your shield.

the weekend

We had a great weekend! Bobby had to do some side work Saturday so sadly we had to do without him most of the day. But we went to Granny and Popaw's to visit and the wonderfulness of them amazes me!!! They OFFERED to go with me to the grocery store to 'entertain' the girls while I shopped!!! Of course I took them up on their offer..... I mean, seriously, I'd be crazy not to! Sunday Bobby spent the whole day with us. He took us all the way to Oxford for b'fast at IHOP, then we went to our property to check things out ( everything is just as we left it), then we went to Leeds to Milo's for lunch. Then we went to the Bass Pro Shop, amazing how that doesn't get old! Then to the Tractor Supply (also never boring) where the girls were quite happy to plop themselves into the floor and look at book- like they don't have their own libraries at home! Then we came back home and ordered Papa John's and watched the race. How much more can you ask of a man than spending the whole day doing and eating what you want! Call me easy, but I'd rather a day like that than all the chocolate and dimonds in the world!!
I have to register Alex for kindergarten tonight..... I mean really, does time HAVE to go this fast.?!
