Today is my hubby's b'day. What a wonderful guy! I tell you, I am so blessed! Everyday I love him more and I am confident that it is the same with him!
My oldest daughter had her Valentine's Day party at school today. Are we are doing school stuff already? I said we were putting her in part time for 4k to get her ready for 'real school' but in all reality I think it was more to get me ready. I am going to miss her when she is at school all day! My little one put on a show for everyone- I have to say it was a little embarrassing. She was tired and threw herself in the floor and protested as loudly as humanly possible for quite some time. Now... Alex would have never been allowed to act that way at this age, she would have received a quick reprimand and a time out, while Grace simply screamed till she felt better. Where did my parenting skills go? Have I lost it? Or are they just so different that I am lost on what to do? Honestly I believe I am trying to keep her a baby because I know she is my last one. I have to nip this in the bud!!! Oh, but she is so stinkin' cute!
The reason I started this blog was to invite people to talk about their children. Their experiences, the good, the bad, and the funny. But also to witness to those who are faced with an unexpected pregnancy, to love them and encourage them to make the best of it. There truly is no greater gift (outside God's love) than children. They help you to see what you didn't even know you were missing. There are some miracles in life that never would be known if not for children. I came across some flair on facebook the other day and I had to write this one down-

"A woman's heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him to find her."

Now that is what I call a thought for the day...... Something to remember as Valentine's Day comes, but also a thought to keep in my heart to teach my girls. What could you teach a young girl that could be stronger than that?!

Mary...what a great first post. It's fun isn't it??
I know exactly what you mean about parenting skills...there is a world of difference in how Daniel and Sawyer have been disciplined! Sawyer gets away with sooooo much more than Daniel would have ever been allowed to. Oh Well...they are both good boys! All of my kids are just so different..it's amazing!
